Cvetka Hojnik

Slovenia

Born in Murska Sobota, Slovenia. She completed her secondary education in Murska Sobota and graduated in 1997 from the Faculty of Textiles and Fashion Design that serves as Chair of the Department of Textile at Natural Science Technical Faculty in Ljubljana. Having chosen studies in working with textile materials, she dedicated her attention to a sewn picture (under the guidance of her tutor Professor Darko Slavec). She studied painting at the Faculty of Arts and now she is developing modern art techniques. She lives in Lendava, Slovenia, Europe. For her creations she was awarded many awards and acknowledgements, which includes the DLUM (Društva likovnih umetnikov Maribor) award 2007, a special award on the Hommage Spacal exhibition in 2007 and the big buyout prize on Ex Tempore Piran on the topic of saline. She is a member of the association of artists Maribor, Slowenian art associations, Free International Artist.
